Update for August 24th

The fertilizing of the course took longer than we anticipated.  So, we will finish the fairway aeration next week. 

Update

We finished needle-tining the greens and aerating fairways on hole 1,2,3,5,10,and 18 this week.  Next week we plan on finishing the fairway aeration along with fertilizing the course. 

Hydraulic leak on hole #10

We had a hydraulic hose break on our fairway mower on Hole #10.  You will notice a line up the center of the fairway.  The heat from the hydraulic fluid will kill the turf.  It should grow back in in a few weeks. 

Upcoming schedule

We will be needle tining the greens and aerating the fairways next week. 

Update

We have finished verti cutting the fairways, aerating the green surrounds and completed the tee leveling project!  We have topdressed the new tees this week and will do so again next week to smooth out the surface.  The estimated time of opening the tees will be July 20th! 

Upcoming Schedule

The verti cutting of the fairways has been delayed.  We have been resodding some worn areas with the turf from the tees we are going to be leveling starting next week.  We will also be fertilizing the course this week.  Next week we will be aerating the greens along with starting the tee leveling process.  This should take approximately two weeks to complete, with another  three to four weeks of grow in.  Reminder: we are closed next Tuesday and Wednesday for aeration.   

Next two weeks schedule

We plan on verticutting the fairways the next two weeks.  This will help with some of the off color areas in the fairways.  They are real thick and the mower scalps the turf everytime we mow. 

5 years of service!

Continuing with rough aeration

We are continuing with rough aeration.  We should finish the back nine this week! 

update for the week of April 23rd

We spent the week aerating the rough on what we call the "bottom section" (holes 12-16), and moving sand in the green bunkers.  We will continue with these two processes next week.   Wednesdays rainfall total was .4".

Aeration update

We have finished aeration of the green surrounds and will start aeration of the fairways next week.  We will be open this coming Monday with tee times starting at 10 o'clock.

Update on tees and green surrounds aeration

We finished the tee aeration yesterday and started aerating the green surrounds on the back nine today.  The plan is to finish the back nine surrounds tomorrow and start working on the front nine on Monday.  For this reason we will be starting on hole #10 on next Monday and Tuesday.  We will be open again for play this Monday starting at 10am with a guest special!

More rain delays

Once again, the weekend rain (5/8") has postponed our aeration schedule.  We plan on aerating the tees starting next Monday.  Then go right into aerating the green surrounds.  We will be open on this Monday with a guest special.  Tee times starting at 10 am. 

Aeration of tees delayed due to rain

We were scheduled to aerate the tees this week, but had to postpone to next week due to the 1.3" of rain over the weekend.  The following week we plan on aerating the green surrounds. 

Divot Dawgs

Greens aeration

The greens aeration went well.  Next week we will deep tine aerate the approaches.  This helps drain the excess water when we need to leach the greens this summer.
